Quick answer
Which business jet has the longest range? The Gulfstream G800, at 8,200 nm with 8 passengers at Mach 0.85. The Bombardier Global 8000 is next at 8,000 nm, then the Gulfstream G700 (7,750 nm) and the Global 7500 (7,700 nm). Range is a manufacturer’s theoretical maximum measured on different assumptions, so plan routes with a margin.

Planning
Choose a Business Jet by Route from India
We calculated the great-circle distance from Delhi and Mumbai to common destinations, then added a rough 15% margin for winds and reserves. The last column lists the aircraft in this guide whose published range clears that figure.
Swipe sideways to see the whole table.
| Route | Distance | Planning range (+15%) | Aircraft that clear it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delhi to Dubai (DXB) | 1,180 nm | 1,357 nm | Citation XLS+, King Air 250 (B250), Phenom 300E and 33 larger models |

| Delhi to London Heathrow (LHR) | 3,630 nm | 4,174 nm | G400, Falcon 900LX, G500 and 18 larger models |
| Delhi to Sydney (SYD) | 5,630 nm | 6,474 nm | BBJ MAX 7, G600, Global 6500 and 8 larger models |
| Delhi to New York JFK | 6,350 nm | 7,302 nm | G650ER, Falcon 10X, Global 7500, G700, Global 8000, G800 |
| Delhi to Los Angeles (LAX) | 6,950 nm | 7,992 nm | Global 8000, G800 |
| Mumbai to London Heathrow (LHR) | 3,890 nm | 4,474 nm | Falcon 900LX, G500, Falcon 6X and 17 larger models |
| Mumbai to New York JFK | 6,770 nm | 7,785 nm | Global 8000, G800 |
Distances are approximate great-circle figures between major airports, rounded to the nearest 10 nm. The 15% margin is an illustrative planning allowance and not an operational calculation. Actual routing, winds, payload, runway length, fuel stops and regulatory approvals decide what a given flight can do. Ask us for a route-specific check.
FAQ
Business Jet Questions, Answered
What is the difference between a light jet, a mid-size jet and an ultra-long-range jet?
In this guide, light and very light jets (Phenom 100EX, Phenom 300E, Citation CJ4 Gen2) have published ranges of about 1,200 to 2,200 nm. Mid-size and super-mid-size jets (Citation Latitude, Praetor 600, Challenger 350 and 3500, Gulfstream G400 and G280) reach about 2,700 to 4,200 nm. Large-cabin jets (Falcon 2000LXS, Challenger 650, Legacy 650E, Falcon 900LX) add taller cabins and range of about 3,900 to 4,750 nm. Ultra-long-range jets (G650, Global 7500, Falcon 8X) fly 6,450 to 8,200 nm. Treat these bands as a guide only: each manufacturer measures range with different passenger loads and speeds.
Which business jet has the longest range in 2026?
Gulfstream's G800 has the longest published range of any certified business jet in service: 8,200 nm at Mach 0.85 with 8 passengers, 4 crew and NBAA IFR reserves. The Bombardier Global 8000 follows at 8,000 nm and was certified by Transport Canada in November 2025 and the FAA in December 2025. Next come the Gulfstream G700 (7,750 nm) and the Global 7500 (7,700 nm). The Dassault Falcon 10X is quoted at 7,500 nm but is still in flight test, with entry into service guided to 2029.
Which business jet can fly nonstop from Delhi to London or New York?
Delhi to London Heathrow is about 3,630 nm great-circle. With a rough 15% margin for winds and reserves, that needs a published range of about 4,174 nm, which starts at the Gulfstream G400 and the Falcon 900LX and includes every larger jet in this guide. Delhi to New York JFK is about 6,350 nm, or about 7,302 nm with the same margin: only the Gulfstream G800 and G700, the Global 8000 and 7500, the G650ER and the Falcon 10X (once certified) qualify. These are planning figures, not flight plans. Real flights depend on winds, payload, runway length and reserves, so ask us for a route-specific check.
How many passengers do business jets seat?
Seat counts in this guide are the maximum published by the manufacturer or, where marked, a typical layout. Light jets seat up to about 10, mid-size and super-mid-size jets 9 to 12, large-cabin jets 10 to 16, and ultra-long-range jets up to 19. VIP airliners such as the BBJ MAX and ACJ family carry far more, and the layout is fully custom. Most private flights carry fewer passengers than the maximum because comfortable executive layouts use fewer seats.
How much does a new business jet cost?
Published 2026 equipped-price guides put a new very light jet at roughly $4 million to $6 million. New ultra-long-range flagships are far higher: about $85 million for the Global 8000 and the G700, and about $76 million to $80 million for the G800, according to Business and Commercial Aviation figures reported by Flycraft. Prices depend on the equipment and the year, so treat them as indicative. Email info@safefly.aero for a current market view on any aircraft in this guide.
What should I check before buying a pre-owned business jet?
Check complete maintenance and engine records, a pre-purchase inspection by an independent maintenance organisation, airframe and engine cycle history, damage history, avionics compliance (such as ADS-B and FANS), the status of engine and life-limited-part programmes, and a current market valuation. Safe Fly Aviation can coordinate the checklist and the inspection for you.
Does Safe Fly Aviation own the aircraft in this guide?
