Yes. Safe Fly Aviation holds a valid Commercial Operator Permit since 2008. All helicopters undergo regular airworthiness inspections. Pilots are licensed with mountain flying endorsements and high-altitude operation certification. Aircraft are equipped with GPS navigation, weather radar, emergency locator transmitters, and first aid equipment for Uttarakhand mountain operations.
Each passenger is allocated a standard body weight allowance of 70 kg. One piece of soft baggage (duffel bag provided by Safe Fly Aviation) is permitted, with a maximum weight of 5 kg. Hard-shell suitcases and trolleys are strictly prohibited. Overweight charges apply at ₹2,500/kg (Char Dham) and ₹2,000/kg (Do Dham). Maximum combined aircraft weight (passengers + baggage) is 450 kg.
Mountain weather is unpredictable and passenger safety is always the priority. Flights may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled as needed. Safe Fly Aviation will arrange alternative scheduling, extended accommodation, or partial refunds for genuinely unutilised helicopter sectors. All weather-related decisions by certified pilots are final and non-negotiable.
Passengers above 65 years must carry a medical fitness certificate from a registered physician. Those with heart conditions, respiratory problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, or altitude sickness history should consult their doctor before booking. Pregnant women and patients with recent surgeries are not recommended. Oxygen cylinders are available onboard, and our ground team is trained in basic medical assistance for high-altitude operations.
VIP darshan includes priority temple entry, queue management, and fast-track access. Our ground team at Kedarnath and Badrinath coordinates directly with temple authorities. At Yamunotri and Gangotri, priority darshan assistance is arranged. Note that VIP darshan facilitates expedited entry but does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the sanctum. Arrangements are subject to government and temple administration guidelines.
The best months are May–June (pre-monsoon) and September–October (post-monsoon) for stable weather. Monsoon (July–August) sees limited operations due to cloud cover and visibility issues. Early morning flights (6–10 AM) are preferred for weather stability. Temple opening: Yamunotri & Gangotri open around April–May; Kedarnath & Badrinath April–May to October–November. Temples are closed November–March due to heavy snowfall.
Contact us via WhatsApp (+91-9811673015), phone, or email with your travel dates, passenger count, and package preference. Required documents: valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Driving Licence), medical fitness certificate for passengers above 65 years. 50% advance payment is required to confirm the booking; balance is due 48 hours before departure. Group and corporate packages are also available.
