DAY WISE ITINERARY for Char Dham Yatra by Helicopter
Places covered – ||Yamunotri ||Gangotri || Kedarnath || Badrinath
Passengers are supposed to reach the state government helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun, which is this Char Dham Yatra starting and ending point. Our pilots and ground staff will brief the passengers about the trip and do’s and don’ts.
DAY 01: Arrival at Dehradun
The tour commences with pick up from Dehradun airport or Railway station one day before the Char Dham Yatra departure, followed by a drop to the hotel. The overnight stay at Dehradun with dinner awaits you.
DAY 02: Yamunotri
06:00 Departure Sahastradhara helipad, Dehradun
06:30 Arrival at Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri
Upon arrival at Kharsali, passengers are welcomed by ground staff and transferred to Yamunotri temple, which is 5 Km far from Helipad. The drive will take a half hour, depending upon the traffic; we will offer you a car for this drive (the local taxi union does not permit Innova). Palkis/Pony will then carry you to Yamunotri Temple. This trek from the helipad to the temple is 6 km, and the return trip by Palki takes about 5 hours. After Darshan, return to Helipad. You have an option of taking ponies or Palki for the trek. Overnight stay at Kharsali.
DAY 03:Gangotri
06:35 Departure Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri
07:00 Arrival Harsil Helipad
Harsil is one of the most beautiful and picturesque valleys in Uttarakhand. Some people also call it mini Switzerland. Gangotri temple is about 22 km from Harsil helipad, and the drive by car takes 50 minutes.
Passengers should leave straight for the temple from the helipad. Our ground staff will assist the passengers with the darshan at Gangotri temple. After returning from the temple, passengers can take lunch in the resort, relax, and have a campfire in the evening. Visiting the nearby village for an evening walk and buying pure wool stuff is recommended.

DAY 04: Kedarnath

08:10 Arrival Kedarnath helipad
The Helicopter will land at the Kedarnath helipad, 500 meters from the temple, after Darshan returns to the hotel. Night halt will be at Sitapur or Kedarath.
DAY 05: Badrinath
08:30 Departure Kedarnath/ Guptkashi helipad
09:00 Arrival Badrinath helipad
After arrival at Badrinath helipad, passengers can check-in in Hotel near the temple. Our ground staff will assist the passengers in taking darshan at the temple.
A visit to Mana village in the evening is highly recommended as this is the last

DAY 06: Return to Dehradun
09:05 Departure Badrinath helipad
10:00 Arrival at Sahastradhara helipad, Dehradun
Early Morning ready for Special Abhishek Puja (at your own cost) at Badrinath temple is the highlight of this entire yatra. It starts sharp at 4.30 am and lasts for 2 hours. Passengers will get an opportunity to sit inside the temple and have a darshan of the Shringar of the deity from very close quarters. After darshan, return to the hotel, have breakfast, and fly for Dehradun. You will transfer to Airport/railway station on arrival at the Dehradun helipad. Here Char Dham Helicopter tour ends with happy memories to be cherished forever.

ADD-ON SERVICES
- Maha Abhishek Puja at Badrinath ji- INR 4,300/person. The total amount has to be paid in cash to our representative at Dehradun so that we can arrange and book the Puja in advance on behalf of each passenger.
Note – Maha Abhishek Puja will not be included in our package or billing cost since the total amount for the same goes directly to Badrinath Ji Mandir Samiti.
- Rudra Abhishek Puja at Kedarnath ji – INR 6,500 for 05 people. The total amount has to be paid in cash to our representative at Dehradun so that we can arrange and book the Puja in advance on behalf of each passenger.
Arrangements for Rudra Abhishek puja will be made subject to the availability of rooms at Kedarnath-Top, as passengers will have to stay there overnight. Therefore, the additional charges towards the hotel stay will be extra chargeable.
Note – Rudra Abhishek Puja will not be included in our package or billing cost since the total amount for the same goes directly to Kedarnath ji Mandir Sarni ti.
Disclaimer – Accommodation at Kedarnath-top is a budget category, and complaints regarding the hotel services & rooms can occur. Furthermore, the temperature at Kedarnath-top may drop to sub-zero levels at night in Sep/Oct; therefore, passengers are advised to consider the same.

GUIDELINES FOR PASSENGERS OF CHAR DHAM YATRA
❖ There is minimal space for luggage in the Helicopter. Only 5kgs luggage per passenger will be permitted.
❖ Passengers should carry only handbags as suitcases cannot be kept in the Helicopter
❖ All temples in Char dham are located in high-altitude areas. Passengers having asthma problems should not undertake this yatra
❖ All passengers undertaking this yatra should be medically and physically fit.
❖ Passengers are advised to carry a small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution. It is available locally at all medical shops
❖ Although day temperatures at these locations are average, it becomes cold at night, so passengers must carry woolen clothes.
❖ All passengers are advised to carry their medication
❖ Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party, thus advised guests to get a fitness certificate from a doctor to travel to the high altitude sector.
❖ Weighing at the time of boarding the Helicopter is a must since the pilot will not allow boarding if it exceeds the weight conveyed at the time of booking & we reserve the right to shuffle passengers to manage the correct weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CHAR DHAM YATRA
❖ The quality of accommodation available at Yamunotri and Kedarnath Upper is just above average, so passengers should not have high expectations. However, the accommodation standard is three stars at Harsil, Guptkashi, and Badrinath.
❖ Only 5 Kg baggage per passenger will be permitted. Passengers are advised not to carry big suitcases as the Helicopter has little baggage space. Passengers bringing excess baggage might not be allowed to take the same in the Helicopter by the pilot.
❖ Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full tickets.
❖ There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.
❖ Total passenger weight should not exceed -400 kg for 5 PAX /450 for 6 PAX. Beyond the said weight limit, the flight won’t be able to take off, and your journey will be canceled effective immediately (you need to provide us with the correct & exact weight to avoid such a situation.
❖ The Char Dham Yatra booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the
charter amount, and the balance amount must be deposited 14 days before the journey date; otherwise, the booking is canceled without any refund.
❖ In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time and passengers cannot visit one or more Dhams due to wrong weather conditions/ technical reasons. The Company will try to visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible, then the Company’s liability will be limited to the refund of unutilized sector/s.
❖ Rescheduling of booking to the subsequent date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 10% of the cost. This will be permitted only if applied seven days before the journey date. If the rescheduling is requested within less than seven days of the journey, then the booking will be treated as canceled, and a new booking will be given, subject to availability.
❖ The Company reserves the right, without assigning any reason, to
cancel, advance, reschedule, over-fly, or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight. Without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person it considers unfit for travel or what, in the Company’s opinion, may constitute a risk to the aircraft or the persons on board.
❖ BAD WEATHER SITUATION: If you are stuck in a bad weather situation any day out of the 05 days, we will still try to finish the darshan the next day. If we cannot visit any Dham of the Char Dham Yatra due to bad weather, we will refund proportionate money. This means that if, due to any reason, we are unable to do 02 Dhams, then we will refund the amount acc. to flying time.
A 5% service charge will be applicable in case of cancellation due to any reason/ Bed weather.
If passengers wish to cancel their Char Dham Yatra booking, then they will have to pay the following cancellation charges
❖ Up to 30 days before the journey -30% of the amount
❖ Up to 20 Days before the journey -50% of the amount
❖ Up to 10 Days before the journey –No Refund

- The exact Schedule for Char Dham Yatra can be advised before the day of departure. Above mentioned schedule is tentative in understanding the operational system & timing. Things can be changed last moment due to any active or weather changes.

The Company will not be held liable for any loss incurred by Guests, such as missed flight/train tickets, accommodations, taxis,s, etc. In case the flight is disturbed due to weather /technical snag etc. Safe Fly will try to meet all its obligations to the best of its ability, but some things are beyond our control.
Safe Fly Aviation & its agents/broker/staff/crew shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdown of Helicopter or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents at Char Dham Yatra .
Char Dham Yatra Helicopter Charter and Do Dham Helicopter Charter services for 2023 are proposed for May. Starting dates will be finalized by March 2023 due to weather conditions in the hills. Helicopters for Yatra will be available from the Dehradun Sahestradhara helipad for Gangotri Yamnotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath temples. We also offer air charter service on aircraft from Delhi IGI airport to Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun.
